What is an adjustable underbelly buckle?

An optional underbelly buckle added to your harness provides added security in conjunction with the velcro. It secures the harness firmly. 

Adding an underbelly buckle may however make the harness fiddlier to put on as it closes on the underbelly side.  

If you wish to add a underbelly buckle please ensure you submit measurements in cms. 

Please note adding an optional underbelly is custom made to fit so therefore cannot be returned if doesn’t fit. Please ensure you measure your dachshund correctly

Sizing Guide
Ensure your dog is standing UPRIGHT in the netural position. 
Simply wrap a tape measure around the mid-torso region away from the front legs and measure.  DO NOT place the tape measure directly behind the front legs where the chest is deepest.  Our harnesses are designed to ensure that front leg gait is not interfered with.  Not sure? Follow the diagram below.  
If you dont have a tape measure a piece of string can be used and then placed against a ruler for a measurement. 
Our harnesses are set sizing as follows:
XS / PUPPY - FITS 28 - 33CM APPROX 
approx weight 2.0 - 4kg 
SMALL – FITS 34 – 40cm 
approx weight 2.8 kg - 5kg
MEDIUM – FITS 41 – 46cm
approx weight 5kg - 7.3kg
LARGE – FITS 47 – 51cm
approx weight 7.3kg - 10.5kg
XL  - FITS 52– 56cm
approx weight 10.5kg and greater.
PLEASE NOTE: If your dachshund's girth is greater than 56cm, do not place an order for size XL. The XL size comfortably fits up to 56cm only.
Please note weights are approximate however measurement is most important as dogs can vary in size and weight.
If you are ordering an underbelly buckle please let us know your dogs measurement when ordering to ensure we add the underbelly buckle to fit securely. 
Washing Instructions
All our fabrics used for our harnesses are pre-washed degrees before cutting to avoid any shrinkage. 
Your harness is best washed in a laundry bag with the velcro closed to prevent snagging.  Wash on a gentle cold cycle.  Regularly check the integrity of your harness for signs of wear and tear - alternating harnesses will help extend the life of your harness. 
Do not tumble dry.
