Dachshund Harnesses

The Hug Me Harness collection for Dachshunds

Escape-resistant, no-rub harnesses designed to provide a correct fit for miniature and standard Dachshunds. Sized, shaped and crafted to meet the breed’s key anatomical requirements, our Dachshund Hug Me Harness is available in lightweight mesh, denim or winter puffa fabric.

Our harnesses combine safety and style without restricting natural movement.

The Dachshund Hug Me Harness features an easy-on underbelly velcro wrap that provides a secure, comfortable fit.

This unique short-legged, long-backed, deep-chested breed can be a little choosy. So our front buckle design provides two easy front fitting options - a simple overhead fit, or just clip the buckle if preferable.

Made just for Dachshunds, the canine-physio approved lightweight design enables full freedom of movement and prevents chafing.

We know Dachshunds inside out after a quarter of a century of ownership, including experience with IVDD and time as a UK Breed Council pet adviser.

Our expertise and deep breed knowledge is at the forefront of all 2RoyalHounds Dachshund walking gear.

Top Australian breeders use, recommend and endorse our vest style harness for their champion Dachshunds and puppies.

Why finding the right small dog harness for Dachshunds is hard

Dachshunds exhibit unique anatomical features and struggle to find harnesses, clothing and attire that fits correctly, comfortably and safely.

Poorly fitted or generic harness designs, often with an emphasis on fashion before health, can interfere with natural movement.

Most chest-plate harnesses are unsuitable for Dachshunds and can encourage pulling.

So-called no-pull harnesses are a temporary management tool, not a solution. They can lead to twisting of your Dachshund's spine and cause long-term harm.

Our Dachshund harnesses focus on what we can control: freedom of movement, comfort, safety, spine health - and love.

Our physiotherapist approved premium quality harnesses are designed by breed specialists and fit mini and standard Dachshunds and puppies.
