How to Measure Your Dachshund
Use a soft measuring tape and measure:
Chest (Girth) – Around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs
Back Length – From the base of the neck to the base of the tail
Neck – Around the base of the neck where a collar naturally sits
No tape measure?
Use a piece of string, wrap it around your dog, then lay it flat against a ruler to get the measurement.

The thoughtfully designed wrap-around belly fit ensures warmth across the chest and tummy without restricting movement, making it ideal for everyday wear. A structured collar adds a distinguished finish while helping to shield the neck from the cold.
Featuring our signature central back zip, this coat allows easy access to your dog’s harness. Simply unzip, pop the harness buckle through, clip the lead, and you’re ready for walkies no need to remove the coat.

Our Royal Coats are made from premium wool blend or 100% wool fabrics and require gentle care.

Each coat is lined with warm inner sherpa fleece, but it’s the outer wool fabric that requires special care.

Shipping Policy
Orders are generally prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days but during busy periods may take longer.
Within Australia
Once prepared, all orders will be shipped by tracked postage via Australia Post. We will email you with your tracking details. Orders can be tracked on the Australia Post tracking system
Free shipping (standard only) is available for orders of over $180.
For orders under $180, postage costs are applied at checkout. As a guide, our current prices within Australia (as of 1st October 2025) are:
Small package $11.50
Medium $15.50
Large $19.50
Estimated delivery time Australia-wide is 2-6 business days but may vary.

Express postage is also offered at checkout at additional cost (estimated delivery time 1-3 business days). As a guide, as of 1st October 2025 our Express postage prices are:

International shipping
International shipping rates will be applied at checkout.
All packages will be sent tracked via Standard International Airmail using Australia Post.

Express international shipping is not currently available.
For US orders, the advertised prices include customs duties and tariffs which 2RoyalHounds will remit to the appropriate US authorities on your behalf.
For international orders to other countries, 2RoyalHounds is not responsible for any additional customs duties or taxes that may apply once your order reaches its destination.

Return Policy
PLEASE NOTE ALL RETURNS MUST BE INITIATED THROUGH OUR RETURNS PORTAL BELOW.

If you’re not completely satisfied, we’re here to help.
Every item is handcrafted with thought and care, and your satisfaction is our priority.
If you’re unsure about sizing for your dachshund, please reach out to us before ordering we’re always happy to help you find the best fit. To ensure we can give you the most accurate advice, please provide your dog’s measurements when contacting us. Kindly note that sizing guidance can only be based on the measurements you supply, as we’re unable to measure your dog ourselves.
We offer store credit only for change-of-mind returns.
This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Please note: Customers in New Zealand may use our returns portal; however, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, as free returns and packaging are not available in your area. Please refer to the return shipping address below.
CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS (STORE CREDIT ONLY)
We offer store credit for eligible returns where you have changed your mind.
To qualify:
- Returns must be initiated within 30 days of receiving your order
- Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition
- All tags must remain attached or a $5 re tagging packaging fee will apply.
- Items must be carefully repacked to maintain resale quality
- Items must not be marked Final Sale, purchased during Black Friday, or clearance events
Items returned outside of this timeframe or not meeting these conditions will not be accepted.
Store credit:
- Excludes original shipping costs
- Is valid for 12 months from the date of issue
2RoyalHounds reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.
FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS (YOUR ACL RIGHTS)
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to:
- A replacement or refund for a major failure
- A repair or replacement if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure
If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect:
- Please contact us as soon as possible after receiving your order
- We will cover reasonable return shipping costs for approved fault claims
- Upon inspection, we will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with ACL requirements

SALE & FINAL SALE ITEMS
Items marked Final Sale, clearance items, and Black Friday purchases cannot be returned for change of mind.
However, these items are still covered by your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
PROCESSING TIME
Once your parcel has been received, your item will be inspected prior to issuing store credit or resolving a fault claim.
Please allow 3–5 business days from the date your parcel arrives for processing.
HOW TO LODGE A RETURN
All returns must be initiated through our Returns Portal.
- If you opted in to Checkout+ (free returns + package protection), your return label will be provided in the portal at no cost. NZ customers do not qualify.
- If you didn’t opt in, you can still lodge a return in the portal, but you will be responsible for return shipping costs.
- Please note: Customers in New Zealand may use our returns portal; however, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, as free returns and packaging are not available in your area. Please refer to the return shipping address below.
Please do not mail your return back without first lodging it in the Returns Portal, as we may be unable to match your parcel to your return request and return shipping costs will not be reimbursed.
All returns must be sent in suitable Australia Post packaging, or you may reuse the original satchel provided. Items returned without appropriate packaging will incur a $5 repackaging fee, deducted from your store credit.
If tags have been removed or the item is not returned in its original packaging, a $5 re-tagging and packing fee will also be deducted from your credit note.
Please note: We do not offer exchanges or hold items. Once your return is received, you will be issued a store credit to use on your next purchase. We completely understand the request, however holds are not something we’re able to offer. We kindly ask for your understanding if a polite refusal is given, as we follow the same policy for all customers.

If you wish to cancel your order and it has not yet been processed or dispatched, please contact us immediately.
Approved cancellations may be subject to a 5% processing fee to cover non-refundable transaction costs already incurred.
